Since 2009 Van Gennip is owned by brothers Leon and Mark van Gennip who are involved in sales, management and decision taking innovations. They lead the company into the future. The general daily management and project management is run by Mr. Sander Donkers.

This department will deliver, confirm orders and invoices our customers. Contact with customers on a daily base and solving issues when needed is done by this customer service. Administration is also part of this department!

Sample room

Here all of our collections are made for selling. After all Salesman samples have been sent from the factory, the final stage before the pre-order sales can start, is done in this unit. Sorting collections by brand, marking them with the right collection cards, hangers and correct information before sending the sample collection to our partners around the globe for collecting pre-orders. All special custom sample requests are sent from our sample room unit!

Value added services

Most of our goods are completely ready for dispatch to our customers when entering our warehouse however, some countries import rules demand different labelling, packing or price tags in foreign currencies. This is done at our special added service unit in Holland. The check and control that is done by this department is an important part in our organizations quality level!

Logistic department

Our warehouse is divided into three units; The first two units are run from the HQ in Weert and are about 2.000 m2. The third unit is an additional rented space nearby the main warehouse which is about 1.500m2. Van Gennip runs their logistic department thru a WMS system called Realtime Solutions and once a container reaches our warehouse our QC’s & production department starts the process;

Each article is checked randomly by our QC teams on size, quality of fabric, labels and style. After this check the QC gives green light to the logistic managers to start counting and dividing the articles by order. Whenever the WMS system or customer delivery date is due the goods will be dispatched to our customers based on several incoterms depending on the customer's conditions.

All remaining supplies are placed to an individual location for re-orders and can be handpicked via a digital hand scanning systems. All special custom articles are stored separately and placed in our third unit not far from our office. These goods are checked by our special private label branch before shipment.

In this department all purchase orders are made and all bookings for all containers are managed. LC issuances, daily payments to our creditors and suppliers and accounting is run from this unit.

Design department

Van Gennip currently works with 7 designers. From color card, moodboard to artwork, all designs and styles are made exclusively for VGT brands.

Over 1200 different designs are made by this team and followed up to the final salesman sample stage. Many customers’ requests are included into next season collections; this is a part of the success of Van Gennip. We try to listen to our customers wishes to help increase sales.

By reviewing sales data from past collections and including many new models and fabrics, our design department is a big part of the success of VGT. The better the collection the more turnover our customers will make with our brands.

The 'Dutch' commercial taste for everyday wear has proven to be a success for retailers around the world and an asset for how kids look and feel.

This quality and production unit is completely involved in the production of all the models of our brands.

Here all salesman samples are reviewed, commented on and checked to live up to the VGT quality standard. This department is also responsible for sizes specs, washings and fitting for all VGT models!

Since 2016 we have officially started with our own quality office in India. Housed in Tirupur 'the knit area' in the South of India, currently has 7 full-time members. Run by Mr. Manoj as a managing director who is assisted by technical support officer Mr. Jagan and Mr. Gowtham who is in charge of communications and 4 QC Associates who visit factories on a daily bases and do online and final inspections.

All new suppliers’ requests are audited by our office to inspect the level of quality, communication and code of conduct.

VGT-team India

Export & private label

This branch of VGT is fully responsible for all special customers and private label orders.

This department runs every FOB order which is shipped to various countries worldwide directly from our factory. Here all customers’ special requests checked, controlled and managed. Special sampling procedures are done by this unit and followed to deliver to our special customers.

Design, E-commerce & Marketing

With the takeover of the Charlie Choe Sleepwear brand in 2017, we will run a new business model: a Business to Consumer webshop. Charlie Choe already runs their B2C webshop for more than 5 years successfully. Now VGT adds a well experienced team to their staff. From February 2018 Charlie Choe sleepwear, DJ Dutchjeans kidswear & Koko Noko babywear are sold via their B2C online webshops.
