Started in 1989 by Toon and Mieke van Gennip, nowadays the second generation Van Gennip lead the company into the future by innovating the business processes, the collections and looking for more opportunities to expand the business on a global scale. Making good selling collections at affordable prices in a nice quality has always been the goal of the family.
Leon and Mark van Gennip have taken over the management of the company in 2009. In 2015 VGT has celebrated its 25th anniversary! Van Gennip Textiles has proven to be a professional expert in the garment industry with an outstanding name and reputation in this market. As a result, VGT has been awarded with the “Graydon” award in 2014, being in the top 3% of financially strong companies in the Netherlands and currently has an AA rate at credit insurance companies around the globe.
Our history
Lees meerVGT works with more than 35 full time employees and many flex workers during the season and is still expanding their business every year. Van Gennip aims for a 15% growth annually and has doubled their turnover in the last 10 years.
All imported goods are paid by the family capita. This strong financial position gives reassurance to our customers as well as the suppliers.
The company has one of the highest rate of selling points in the Netherlands with private labels and their 6 brands; Dirkje & Koko Noko baby & children's clothing, DJ Dutchjeans & No Way Monday children's clothing, Mila swimwear and Charlie Choe sleepwear.
The company sells over 3.0 million of pieces annually and has an average of 2,8 pcs sold per born baby in the Netherlands, being in the top 3 of Dutch babywear brands.
